Solutions has many varied interests ranging from the Swim School to Consultancy Services to the Governing Body on many swimming related topics. Both the original partners bring a lifetime of experience to Solutions Swim School as both Sandra & Dennis have been involved in the sport for well over 45 years.
Dennis ‘retired’ as a Building Society Executive early in ’97 to pursue his swimming interests, since which time he has been involved in many projects, working closely with Sport England, UK Sport, Sports Coach UK, British Swimming, Amateur Swimming Association, Swim Ireland & the Gibraltar Government. The projects have been diverse, including the delivery of the sport’s National & International events, including the Aquatics at the Commonwealth Games in Manchester. He has extensive experience as a Tutor & Presenter, delivering courses aimed at improving teaching quality, child protection, & has led the development of Team Manager Training throughout the sport.
Sandra is a qualified teacher but these days, concentrates her efforts on local swimming, including of course Solutions Swim School. She is a Senior Tutor for the ASA’s NVQ education based programmes & as such is responsible for training & monitoring standards of many of the swimming teachers operating in the area. Sandra has a close interest in developing the sport in the area Chairman & Chief Coach of Wroughton ASC, she also holds key positions with the County & Regional Swimming Associations, serving on their respective Swimming Committees.
Solutions is very much a family affair, with all of our children, Joanne, Sara & David also playing a key role in the partnership. All teach on the poolside with David & Sara sharing the bulk of the administrative work behind the scenes.
